It starts with the instrument you choose. Of the wide range of options available, monochromators are the preferred technology for accuracy and repeatability within the food and agriculture industry. There are others. Diode array is limited in wave lengths impacting accuracy potential, repeatability and reducing the number of constituents you can measure. FT-NIR uses complex mechanics and is susceptible to environmental conditions.
